Which inverters, batteries and chargers work with Novolt?
Novolt steers what is already installed. These are the brands that work today: Solis, Huawei, SMA and SolaX for inverters, Easee, Shelly and Alfen for chargers.
Novolt replaces nothing in your installation. It talks to what is already there and steers it as one system. Below are the brands it works with today. Is your brand not listed, or are you unsure about your model? Send us the make and model: you will know before you start whether it works, and if an integration is missing, we build it.
Inverters
- Solis
- Huawei
- SMA
- SolaX
Novolt reads your solar production, for planning and in the app. With a hybrid inverter from Solis, Huawei or SMA, it also steers your battery: charge, discharge or wait, following the plan.
What about the battery?
The brand of your battery does not matter. Novolt steers the battery through the inverter, not directly. If your battery has its own inverter, ask us first.
EV chargers
- Easee, also on a 3x230 V grid. More in Easee on 3x230 V.
- Shelly, for chargers fitted with a Shelly module.
- Alfen, locally over your own network, no cloud.
Meter
Novolt reads your digital meter through the P1 port: with a HomeWizard Wi-Fi P1 meter, or with a P1 cable straight to the Novolt box.
What needs to be switched on?
On most inverters, Modbus TCP has to be enabled. That is a setting your installer switches on. For a charger that works through the cloud, such as Easee, you give Novolt access to your account. On an Alfen, your installer switches on Modbus TCP and load balancing in the Alfen software.
Does this fit your installation?
Send us the make and model of your inverter, battery and charger, and you will know before you start whether it works.
